Kayla Bashore is the founder of Indiana Field Hockey Camps LLC. Selected as the Big Ten Player of the Year in her final year for the Hoosiers, she graduated from Indiana University in 2005 then competed for the USA Field Hockey Women's National Team from 2005 to 2012. She is a two-time Olympian (Beijing '08 and London '12) and competed in the 2006 World Cup in Madrid, Spain. Kayla's previous coaching experience includes IU ('06), Columbia ('09), and Brown ('14-'16). She has been the Head Field Hockey Coach at IU since 2019. Kayla is passionate about helping student-athletes develop in character and athletic ability through her work both on and off the field.
DANI CASTRO
Assistant Field Hockey Coach Indiana University Dani Castro has been the assistant field hockey coach at Indiana University since 2019. A 2009 alumnae of IU, Dani served as the program's captain and was selected for the Sportsmanship Award, All-Big Ten Tournament Team, and Longstrength/NFHCA Division I West All-Region Team in her senior year. She currently serves on a number of committees including the Title IX 50th Year Celebration and Anti-Racist/Anti-Hate Committee for Indiana University as well as the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee for NFHCA. She also serves as the liaison for the AR/AH Committee for the First Nations Education and Cultural Center. |
LEAH ZELLNER
Assistant Field Hockey Coach Indiana University Leah Zellner has been the assistant field hockey coach at Indiana University since March of 2023. A 2022 alumnae of the University of Iowa, Leah served as the program's captain in her senior year. She played in 96 games and recorded 15 goals and 10 assists. She was also a part of a team that won the Big Ten regular season title in 2019 and 2021, the Big Ten Tournament title in 2019, and five NCAA tournament appearances. Leah is an Emmaus, PA native where she won two PA AAA State Championships and three Eastern PA Conference Championships. She was also a member of the USA Indoor Field Hockey Team in 2016 and 2017. |
